Dance Program Details
PRESCHOOL DANCE CLASSES
Our preschool dance classes are some of the best offered in Colorado! The classes incorporate creative movement, ballet, balance, body awareness, dance vocabulary, games and music to create a fun and active class environment. Taking a dance class will help the dancer gain an appreciation for music, build grace and balance, and initiate a lifelong love for health and physical fitness.
DANCE CLASSES
Peak is proud to offer dance classes for children ages 5 years and older! Every class includes a warm-up, flexibility and stretching, dance technique, vocabulary and choreography. Our dance classes focus on a variety of dance styles such as Jazz, Ballet, Creative Movement, Hip-Hop and Pom. All students will have the opportunity to participate in our annual winter recital.
COMPETITIVE DANCE TEAMS
Peak’s Competitive Dance Program is one of the best in Colorado and is made up of Pom, Jazz and Hip Hop teams, with dancers ranging from 5 to 18 years of age. All teams compete in local competitions and performances, and perform in our recital. Our Youth, Junior and Senior level teams also compete at the National level.
RECREATIONAL DANCE TEAMS
For dancers looking for an alternative to our competitive programs, our Pre-Team program may be just the right fit! Peak’s Pre-Team program is designed for athletes who want to learn to dance in a team setting and perform in the community.
SPECIAL NEEDS DANCE TEAMS
Peak is proud of our STARS program! Our STARS teams are designed for athletes with physical and mental disabilities who are eager to participate in cheerleading and dance. The STARS teams consist of athletes ranging from 8 to 25 years of age. Each team is coached by members of our elite coaching staff.
DANCE RECITALS AND SHOWS
Every winter Peak Athletics hosts an annual Winter Recital. The recital allows our dancers the opportunity to perform on stage for their family and friends.
